Prophecy Welcome Kit

The Prophecy is Wyrmwood Gaming’s flagship product. The ultimate luxury gaming table, costing tens of thousands of dollars depending on options and wood species.

For such a high end item, it was important for the entire customer experience journey to be elevated, reflecting the caliber of product and service they are investing in.

A key part of this journey is the Prophecy Welcome Kit. Upon placing a deposit for a Prophecy, the customer will be sent one of these kits containing:

• Coffee Table Brochure

• Thank You Note

• Wood Samples

• Fabric Samples

These empower the customer to start properly thinking about and planning the customisation for their Prophecy.

I was involved in designing and prototyping this new Welcome Kit from the beginning, and was immediately considering ways to make this a powerful moment in the customer journey. The package as a whole should feel like a souvenir, an artefact that can be appreciated long after the table itself is delivered.

A selection of Wyrmwood’s Hex Tile products was used as wood samples. As well as being an excellent presentation of the tones and grain present in the character of each wood species, they also function a dishes for game pieces, or can be flipped to be used as coasters for drinks.

The fabric samples have the name of the colour lasered directly onto the fabric, and are held on a ring alongside a Wyrmwood shield charm, which the customer may repurpose for use as a keychain or such.

The design went through several iterative steps through designing and prototyping, finally landing on the finished product, which has been appreciated and lauded by customers since being rolled out.
